Your first visit

  1. Getting to know you. We listen to what you would like from your smile and any worries about visiting the dentist.
  2. Your examination. Your dentist checks your teeth, gums, bite and soft tissues, with X-rays and DIAGNOdent where needed.
  3. Scale and polish. We clean away tartar and staining.
  4. Your options. Anything that needs attention is explained in plain language, with fees in writing.

How much is a new patient examination?

An examination with a scale and polish costs £170.

What should I bring?

A list of any medicines you take. Please arrive a few minutes early.

I have not been to a dentist for years. Is that OK?

Yes. There is no judgement here. We will start by listening and take things at your pace.

Can I book on WhatsApp?

Yes. WhatsApp us to book on 07300 421405 and we will find a time that suits you.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice if you cannot attend. There may be a charge for late cancellations or missed appointments.

Do you see emergency patients who are not registered?

Yes. Emergency appointments cost £120.

Are you taking on new patients?

Yes, adults and children. WhatsApp us on 07300 421405 or call 01375 481000 to book your first examination.

Do you take NHS patients?

No. We're a fully private practice for adults and children, and every fee is confirmed in writing before treatment starts.

How long is my first appointment?

An adult examination is booked as a one-hour appointment, so there's time to listen to you as well as check your teeth. Children's examinations are 30 minutes.

Can I bring my family?

Yes. We see adults and children. Each child is booked into their own 30-minute examination.

Do I need to live in Chafford Hundred to join?

No. Patients join us from Grays, South Ockendon, Aveley, Purfleet, West Thurrock, Tilbury, Stanford-le-Hope and further afield. There's on-site parking and the station is about 0.8 miles away.

Can I book my first appointment on a Saturday?

Saturday appointments are by arrangement and limited, so message us on WhatsApp as early as you can and we'll tell you what's available.

What if I need treatment after my examination?

Your dentist explains anything that needs attention in plain language and gives you the fees in writing. You can decide in your own time.
