What is Chafford Aligners?
Chafford Aligners is the name of our own clear aligner treatment at Chafford Hundred Dental Care. It uses a series of clear, removable aligners, made for your teeth from a digital scan, to move your teeth gradually into a planned position.
Your treatment is dentist-led from your first consultation to your retainer, and every review happens here at our practice in Chafford Hundred, so you always know who is looking after you.

Free consultation and scan
You meet one of our dentists for a free consultation with a GDC-registered dentist (a £20 holding deposit secures your slot, and it’s taken off your treatment or refunded). We check your teeth and gums, talk about what you’d like to change and take a digital 3D scan instead of putty impressions.
Your plan
If Chafford Aligners could suit you, your dentist plans the tooth movement digitally and shows you the plan, the likely number of aligners and your fee in writing before you decide anything.
Your aligners
Your aligners are made for your teeth. You wear them 20 to 22 hours a day, take them out to eat and drink anything other than water, and change to the next set as your dentist directs, typically every 1 to 2 weeks.
Reviews
We see you at the practice typically every 4 to 6 weeks to check your progress and hand over your next aligners. If your teeth need a little extra movement, your dentist explains the options.
Retainer
When treatment ends you wear a retainer to help hold your teeth in their new position. Your dentist explains how and when to wear it, and we’re here for aftercare questions.

Can I have Chafford Aligners if I had braces as a teenager?

How many hours a day do I wear Chafford Aligners?
20 to 22 hours a day. You take them out to eat and to drink anything other than water, then put them back in.
How often do I change to a new set?
Typically every 1 to 2 weeks, as your dentist directs.
How often are review appointments?
Typically every 4 to 6 weeks at the practice, to check your progress and hand over your next aligners.
Can Chafford Aligners straighten just my top teeth?
Chafford Aligners can treat one or both arches. If you only want a small change on one arch, Smile Tweak at £995 for up to 5 aligners may suit you better.
Who isn't suitable for Chafford Aligners?

South Ockendon is about 1.5 miles away and Aveley about 2.5 miles. Ockendon station is one stop from Chafford Hundred Lakeside, and there's on-site parking.
